This may turn out to be a very scattered post, as there’s a lot that I haven’t been writing about lately.

Candles
I have been gathering the final bits of information for our first potential order to get the business up and running. Since I already have the name of the business picked out, I have to figure out if I need to register myself as a business owner, how much that may cost, and how to figure out if that requires me to charge sales tax or not. So much stuff to figure out. Meanwhile, I”ve been trying to collect pictures and write what I want my site to say so that Hubby can make a mockup website, so we can play around with a good look that will attract a lot of people. Lucky I have a web manager at m personal disposal… :)

Kids
Now that we have the house, we’ve decided that we still want to wait a bit before having kids. We want to gather a bit more money to stack up in savings so that we aren’t scrambling around trying to feed and diaper change a baby.

Nose
I recently had my nose cauterized to help fix my bloody nose issue, however, I don’t feel that it worked. My nose bleeds if I blow it, and it bleeds if I try to pick the boogers out. It still bleeds sometimes if I get warm, or stand up too quickly. I thing the Doctor only fixed the superficial blood vessels instead of really looking deeper for the problem. He had a camera shoved up there for Christ’s Sake. I really do not want to have to go back in. I’ve been doing what he told me to do, if my nostrils feel dry and uncomfortable to breath through, I moisten them with some vaseline and nasal decongestant. The vaseline upsets my stomach though, but I have to use it.

Puppy
We’re looking at getting a puppy. We’ve been looking online at different breeds. We have a friend in Colorado who owns a Chorkie, and the breeders just had a new litter, so we thought about getting one of those, but we’d have to arrange for it to come up from Colorado. One of Hubby’s coworkers parents breed Toy Poodles (a cute kind) and we are waiting to hear back on how much his parents might want for one of those, and if we can pick our own, and when they’ll be ready. We know that TomTom, our cat, probably won’t like us getting a puppy, but that’s too bad. :) It will be nice getting a puppy in the summer time too, that way when it needs to run out for emergency potties, it won’t be too cold for us. We can walk it around a near by park and let it run around. We can also walk it around through our housing development.

Our House
We finally got the last minute things in our townhouse fixed. Thank God. Turns out the company that built them all is going out of business, and it’s last business day was Thursday. They were supposed to build a whole two other buildings of units, and aren’t. We’re glad we got the unit we did though because we don’t actually have to see the freeway. I think I am going to write a quick letter of suggestion to the HOA letting them know it would be helpful to turn that land into a little bit of extra parking, and maybe a grass area and playground for the 5 buildings on our side of the development. Hard to say what they can even do since the land is likely owned by the bank. It doesn’t hurt to make a suggestion though. :) Some of the units aren’t even occupied yet. The one directly behind us is still vacant. I think I saw that one is still for sale, but I’m not entirely sure if it really is or not.

Well, there is my random post. Hopefully I will get my booty in gear and start writing more.

Thanks for reading!

Good People

June 9, 2009

My boss’ boss was kind enough to excuse me from a mandatory meeting on Saturday to spend time with my ill grandpa. Most of you know who I am talking about because I’ve written about him before. He and my grandma will be here for a few days and Hubby and I are driving up to Bellingham to visit.

I don’t know if I can describe how thankful I am that she let me out of the meeting. I could have gone, but it would have put us in Bellingham around noon or later depending on traffic, and that would have given us only a few short hours with them, but now we get to spend the whole day.

I am very happy right now.

Obsession!

June 8, 2009

Some of you now how much I am obsessed with my dear ‘ol Gilmore Girls. There was a backstage special on ABC Family today. I love it! I love that they’re explaining every scene.  I have all of the words memorized of course. But I love hearing their interpretations of the scenes they acted in.

And thanks to DVR, I get to re-watch it. I am really that obsessed. HAHA
