Access Granted

My Xbox Blog may have embarassed me this week. I feel very geeky at the moment, but that is okay. At least I am actively stimulating my mind with something other than Daytime Soap Opera’s like I was for about a week before I decided I didn’t want to be one of ‘those’ people.

Watch closely because here comes the recap… if you aren’t paying attention, you might miss it: Not many Xboxes can claim seven days of gaming in a row. Last week EviosPrincess and I can… and we will… and it feels so good! Our gamerscore jumped 595 points which was nice. Getting 38 achievements has that effect.

If you’re not a big Xbox ‘know-it-all’ most achievments are 10 points or so…

Uhm… yeah… Guess what we’re going to be doing to bring in the new year… that’s right… playing xbox 360… haha

Going out with a Bang

December 29, 2008

So, I’ve been wanting to blog all day but I have been super busy!

Hubby went off to hang out for a bit with his business partner. I went back to sleep.

I go downstairs to get some clean clothes from the laundry room because I’m lazy and the clothes have not made it to the closet let alone upstairs. I notice there is a puddle of water on the counter…

Puddle on Counter

Ugh.

I looked up and saw this…

I have been noticing this for a long time, but have never mentioned it before – but now I would like to.

I don’t think I’ve seen a photo of Suri Cruise standing on her own two feet.

I really do try not to spend too much time reading about celebrities and their lives, but this bugs me. I understand that she’s not even 3, but HELLO— make the damn kid walk!

ugh.

I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking it’s me or hubby with the Doritos addiction. I’m sorry but you are wrong.

TomTom, our cat, has the addiction.

Continuity

December 24, 2008

In relation to film: a motion-picture scenario giving the complete action, scenes, etc., in detail and in the order in which they are to be shown on the screen.

I took a Video Productions class in high school and I learned about continuity. We learned that while making our films we need to pay attention to the little details. For example, if we shoot a scene on one day and it’s sunny, but the next day it’s rainy, that would not be good for shooting -bad continuity. If our main character wore a green shirt into the store, but a red shirt out (ie being filmed on different days) it would be bad continuity.

Seattleite

December 23, 2008

1. Any person living in, or within ten miles of The city of Seattle, WA
2.Is easily agitated when tourist asks to see the original Starbucks, Microsoft or Kurt Cobain’s house. True Seattleites do not care for these things.
3.Considers Seattle to be the best city on Earth.
4. Is a pretentious coffee snob due to the thousands of delicious coffee houses and rostaries that surround them.
5. Any person who knows not to visit Pike Place Market on a Saturday.
6. Any person who was disappointed by EMP (unlike the inbred hicks from across the country who come to visit it).
7. Anybody who knows that “eating dicks” means eating burgers.
8.Any person that hates it when Californians drive through Washington and cry about the rain and the cold.
9. Typically a city that is completely devoid of soccer moms.

Define: Trace

 A just detectable amount

The weather people predicted a trace amount of snow… UHM – we got three to four INCHES! I ascertain that is more than a ‘trace’!

I Just Love the Snow!

December 18, 2008

[[Pictures to come a little later on]]

It was snowing off and on all day, nothing too heavy, but from about 4 to 6 it just dumped. We got probably 3-4 inches of dry powder — Maybe more. I love it! Hubby and I walked around a bit and met up with our neighbor and her puppy and threw snowballs for the puppy to chase. It was funny.

Writer’s Block

December 17, 2008

Well, in all honesty, maybe not. I’ve been battling a small bought of depression these past few weeks. It generally starts getting worse and worse when people ask me what I’m getting for Andrew for Christmas.

Well, nothing- I take that back, I bought discount Halloween Candy that I am going to put in his stocking. He told me he would give me some money to buy gifts for him and I told him no. It wouldn’t be right to make him buy his own Christmas presents.

I think we’ve even decided not to put up our tree this year.

If I had my way, IE a part time job – I would buy him this

Yes, I would buy him a game. We would need the complete band set though, that’s $189.00 though. See my dilemma. It’s the only thing he really wants, and it’s super expensive. Only thing other than the fireproof safe he asked his mom for. I would put it on credit, but without a job, the interest rate would kill me anyhow.

So, we’ve decided not to put up our Christmas tree because, well, there won’t be a darned thing under it.
