Happy Halloween!

October 31, 2008

We’re staying in and passing out candy to the kiddo’s. For those who are going out, have a safe holiday!

[[**EDIT**]] – So, when Hubby told me yesterday to go pick up some candy for the T&T’s I assumed it was because he liked seeing the kids in costume.

Oh – what a shock

October 29, 2008

Well it was confirmed this morning by email – another job that I didn’t get.

Grrr.

So, Lego Batman is awesome! Since Hubby bought Fable 2 instead of getting it through GameFly – he added Lego Batman back on the queue for me. YAY! He’ll probably buy Fallout 3 too instead of getting it through GameFly.

He was very sweet and bought three games on Walmart.com for us. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Perfect Dark Zero, should be arriving from Walmart and The Darkness should be arriving from somewhere else.

Yay for being 360 Nerds and loving cheap games! :D

Seriously…

October 25, 2008

You should be smart enough to know that there are no secrets between Andrew and I, so to make him mute the XBox live conversation to be ‘headset’ only to tell him a secret, he’ll end up telling me anyway. Seriously! Are you freakin’ two?

Just so darned frustrated!

Apparently.

I found this article on one of our local news sites, KOMO 4 News, and thought it was funny. Morbid. But funny. If I hadn’t played Asheron’s Call with Hubby for six or seven months and almost joined two allegiences by ‘marrying’ into another allegience, I would have been more shocked by this article. Though I didn’t have feelings or any real interest in the person who I almost ‘wed’, and since Hubby and I were a well known IRL (in-real-life) married couple, everyone knew it wasn’t an emotional bond - just something to do. You could actually buy wedding clothes and other things.

Anyway, since you’re wondering about the article, here it is:

Online divorcee jailed after killing virtual hubby

TOKYO (AP) – A 43-year-old Japanese woman whose sudden divorce in a virtual game world made her so angry that she killed her online husband’s digital persona has been arrested on suspicion of hacking, police said Thursday.

The woman, who is jailed on suspicion of illegally accessing a computer and manipulating electronic data, used his identification and password to log onto popular interactive game “Maple Story” to carry out the virtual murder in mid-May, a police official in northern Sapporo said on condition of anonymity, citing department policy.

“I was suddenly divorced, without a word of warning. That made me so angry,” the official quoted her as telling investigators and admitting the allegations.

The woman had not plotted any revenge in the real world, the official said.

She has not yet been formally charged, but if convicted could face a prison term of up to five years or a fine up to $5,000.

Players in “Maple Story” raise and manipulate digital images called “avatars” that represent themselves, while engaging in relationships, social activities and fighting against monsters and other obstacles.

The woman used login information she got from the 33-year-old office worker when their characters were happily married, and killed the character. The man complained to police when he discovered that his beloved online avatar was dead.

Like OMG I love Legos

October 22, 2008

I am replaying Lego Star Wars. Only drag is that it’s on our regular xbox – not the 360 – so I am not getting acheivement points for it :(   I could buy The Complete Saga for like $20 or less on Craigslist, but I am not sure if I want to do that yet. Let me rephrase, I won’t do that until I have a job and can afford the $20  — LOL!

Turbo Jam

October 21, 2008

I am sure that if you stay up late enough, or wake up early enough on the weekends, you’ll see the Turbo Jam infomercials. I have decided to try it.

I need to lose weight; that is a fact. I don’t feel good about myself anymore. I don’t fit a lot of my clothes anymore. I want to be able to walk from the garage up the 1/2 stair case to the main floor of our home and not get so out of breath. My lungs are horrible when I’m healthy, so who knows what’s going on in there now… Oh wait… wheezing, constricting, inflammation. I sometimes wonder if my lungs are going to just stop working one day.

Once I start it, I will take all of my measurements and maybe create a new section on here about my different goals and successes.

Wish me luck!

I Could Use A Change

October 20, 2008

I am so tired of interviewing for jobs. I feel I do really well in the interviews, then “I’m sorry Ms. Glass, we chose someone else”. I have a job interview tomorrow at 3PM, I need a mind break to just collect myself – but it is really hard.

So far, I’ve consulted a few people and one person told me the following, “Go naked, oh, tell them if they do not hire you… you may just be seeing them later on in their closet… with a hatchet, act desperate and cry – A LOT…”

I think I’ll not be doing that.

Do you have any tips?
