Crave to Blog
June 30, 2008
I have been craving to blog lately – but certainly have nothing but the wedding on my mind. I spent the afternoon packing up clothes that we’ll need this weekend. I set Andrews tux, vest, and my dress all together so that on Thursday we can ask his brother if he doesn’t mind driving it over so that it can lie flat. Which is probably not going to happen in our car since we have so much crap to haul over to the ocean.
With my mom and grandparents, Andrew’s friend, and brother and sister-in-law hanging out/staying here on the 3rd, our house is going to be absolutely chaotic. My mom and I potentially have to make mints, I have to go to Costco at some point to haul food over to Ocean Shores. Which just reminded me that I need to find someone who has a cooler that we can potentially borrow to take the food in. And this also takes a lot of our packing room out of the backseats or the trunk. Good thing the Focus has great trunk room.
I tried to add photos of the Focus- but it did not work – dumb flickr.
There might be crocodiles in the water.
Super Busy!
June 25, 2008
I have been so busy lately and negelectful of my readers. I am sorry!
Anyway! My car blew up – we could have fixed it but decided the $600 to fix it was not worth the stress of what will go wrong next – so we bought a new(used) car! We are now proud owners of a Silver 2007 Ford Focus SE known as the Hocus Focus! WOOT WOOT! (pictures to come later)
Et Tu, Christine…?
June 17, 2008
So, I’ve never really been one who likes Monday’s, ever. I was driving to work yesterday, in an awkwardly good mood. I pull into my work parking and something on the passenger side of my engine starts making this god aweful clanking noise. CRAP! Since I am also now going at a fairly slow speed, I notice all of the steam coming out of my car. OMG! I open the hood after a few moments and everything is steaming on the inside. I look underneath and there is a big puddle under my car. My coworkers are all looking at me like, “Dude, Y’know your car’s steaming?” UH-DUH, THANKS! (more…)
Bridal Shower
June 13, 2008
June 21st @ 4:00pm – email bridalshower@amomentatatime.com if you’d like to come!
What happened to all of my posts?
June 11, 2008
That’s right – I made most of them private. With the wedding getting closer, and using an AMomentAtATime.com email address, I’ve decided that to avoid wedding and bridal shower guests getting the wrong idea about my blog and what I say on it, I’ve made most posts only viewable to Registered Users. If you check back often, and I know some of you do, then just register and get it over with, so you can feed your need to read my blog.
Grey’s Anatomy is one sad show!
June 7, 2008
I am watching Season 3 on DVD and now remember that almost every episode this season makes a person just want to cry – LAME! But once I start a season like this – I finish it – every tear of the way.
Andrew is at his friends house tonight playing video games – so I am at home watching Grey’s Anatomy drinking some weak pina colada’s. Just taking some time to myself. Trying to metally brace myself for the next month. Especially the next 9 days - while we receive the last of the RSVP’s…
On a side note – I cannot stop looking at my new ring – LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!
I had bigger plans for this entry – but am too distracted by GA. Later!
Less than one month…
June 6, 2008
Yes, you’re going to see this obnoxious countdown until the wedding – I cannot help myself!
Anyways – I really wish I could post photos of my dress and different hair styles etc but Andrew reads my blog as well and my beautifulness is supposed to be a secret until the wedding day when my mommy walks me down the aisle. (more…)
Any one want a cat?
June 5, 2008
Our cat is probably the most annoying beast in the world. He wedged himself in between our blinds and our window this morning. Most people would assume this is no big deal, well you’re wrong – our blinds are horizontal and it slides on a track left to right and is hard to get anything in between them. OMG was Andrew mad. I was actually sleeping well, so Andrew was on morning cat duty (it was his turn). Anyway, after this morning I would love to give my cat away to anyone who wants him – not that any of you would after I described his horrendous behavior.
Tomorrow it will be less than one month until the weddding – we have pretty much everything done. We have to have a tasting with the caterer probably next weekend, and buy Andrew a white shirt to go under his vest, then buy the last minute things like disposable cameras, the food and drinks for the day of.
I am glad that we are having a dry wedding (no alcohol) because most of all I remember from my fathers wedding is how my step sister kept trying to stick me with 6 kids under the age of 4, and how my step brother got ridiculously drunk off of champagne. Oh yeah- what a blast. Plus, Andrew and I know how onoxious one of our friends is when he drinks too much so there is no way in hell I would serve him alcohol and ruin our day. Our other friend is a recovering alcoholic and I think it is best to just eliminate the discomfort. Oh, and lastly, the owners of the Inn require a $1,000,000 insurance coverage to serve alcohol – no thanks! (ps- I don’t like wine or champagne so I would be drinking sparkling cider anyway)
So - we are sitll missing some RSVP’s – time is running out to turn them in so those people better get on it. I will not guarentee that there will be enough accomodations for those who do not RSVP.
Honesty… The best policy?
June 4, 2008
On the radio this morning – the Inbox Issue of the Day was a guys email about how he recently proposed to a lady that he feels very strongly for. Romantic right? Normal Right? Well think again – his reason for writing was to get advice on whether or not he should tell her that not only is she the first female he’s probably been with, he’s been with a handful of guys before her and he considers himself homosexual.
Quite the dilemma!
Since the wedding is coming up so soon – 1 month, 1 day – I thought this problem was especially interesting. If it was some previous one-night stands, I don’t think that you need to go into much depth but if you’ve been living a ‘alternative’ lifestyle and are proposing marriage to someone who isn’t even of the same sex they’re generally involved with sexually. WOW!!!!
12 days until the RSVP’s are due – if they’re late or not turned in, I reserve the right to ask you not to come – keep that in mind.
Anyways – back to Season 3 of Grey’s Anatomy on DVD.
